This once-in-a-lifetime voyage to Antarctica will leave an indelible impression and lasting memories of an experience few can claim. Traversing a route set forth by intrepid explorers over the centuries, Xplore departs Ushuaia, Argentina and heads east along the Beagle Channel, then delves south across the Drake Passage.
Your first impression of Antarctica will live firmly with you, no matter what the weather or time of day, as the landscape remains ethereal and light - even as the sun dips below the horizon.
Depending on conditions, we will begin by exploring the northern areas of the Antarctic Peninsula, then journey to select locations where you can best experience the vast grandeur and incredible wildlife of the region; including whales, penguins, birds and seals.
Then we head further south (continuing as long as ice conditions allow) into areas rarely visited by man.
Whether you are an active person or one who simply wants to absorb the magic of Antarctica, there is a range of activities to enjoy: hiking, cruising the icebergs in a Zodiac, snow shoeing, visiting penguin rookeries, and even the possibility of spending time on the ice.
