At six months of age Nicolas first felt the surge of the ocean, cruising with his parents on the Brittany coast of France.

‘Nico’ has continued to sail all of his life, first on holidays, and then professionally. After three years of management school and two years of boat-building studies, Nico left France for a speed record campaign on Bruno Peyron's catamaran, securing records in both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Winner of the round-the-world race “The Race” on the maxi-catamaran Club Med.

Nico continued on to join the French campaign for the America’s Cup in 2003, and more recently was part of the world championship team aboard the 60-foot trimaran Groupama. In 2004 Nico discovered Antarctica, and says this southern region of the world has changed life.
