Stephen Wilkins, Australia
Skipper and Expedition Leader

Commencing sailing at the age of seven, Stephen has logged over 300,000 miles at sea.
Xplore since 2007, Stephen is very proud of the success and adventures that everyone has had onboard Xplore in the South.
From 2003, for 3 years Stephen was the Skipper and Expedition Leader of Pelagic Australis custom polar expedition yacht, voyaging to Antarctica, South Georgia Island, the Falkland Islands, and throughout Tierra del Fuego.
Previously Stephen circumnavigated the globe as Skipper in the 2000/2001 BT Global Challenge and has twice competed in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. A lecturer at the Australian Maritime College in the areas of marine meteorology, navigation, seamanship and electronics.
Stephen also holds the qualifications of Master, Class 3, RYA Yachtmaster Ocean Examiner. His passions are people, sailing and exploring the southern reaches of the globe.

Audrey started sailing as a child in Brittany, France, and since then both boats and the sea have always remained an important part of her life.
In her early adult life Audrey trained and worked as a Naval Engineer with Bureau Veritas in Paris on commercial ship construction and re-design.
However in 2007 her thirst and curiosity for travel, adventure and the world took over and she left for a trip around South America where she first encountered the "South".
She soon realised that there was something very special about Southern lands, and that the best way to do it was by sail!
As crew on Xplore, Audrey brings solid sailing experience, a happy, positive personality and fluency in 3 languages to the team, French, Spanish and English. In the galley, with true French flair and creativity, she prepares wonderful foods to please the most discerning palates.
