Cape Horn
There are few places throughout the world where man feels such mystical aura as Cape Horn. The passage to and around Cape Horn takes on the importance of a sanctuary; of a supernatural place. After all, the combination of its location (55°56'S, 67°19'W); the particular land formations, and the intensity of the weather phenomena which surrounds it, make Cape Horn matchless.

Voyaging aboard Xplore, we can stop briefly on the island if the weather allows us, for a trek to say ‘hello’ to the Chilean Navy family who live there (for twelve months) to maintain the lighthouse and monitor shipping traffic. The memorial located at Cape Horn is a touching tribute to all the thousands of life's lost in these wild seas and coasts of the south.
