Tierra Del Fuego
Tierra del Fuego, "The Land of Fire" was named so because of the fires natives used to light in ages past to warm themselves and to prepare food. The first Europeans to arrive were intrigued by the fires and called it Tierra del Fuego.

This region offers infinite landscapes where the stark contrasts of glacial ice, dense green forests mix with the sea, exuberant vegetation and stunning sunsets and sunrises. Tierra del Fuego hosts a unique blend of wildlife surrounded by forests and mountains; a piece of land that is home to a wide variety of animals: cormorants, penguins, seagulls, sea lions, swallows, albatross, and more.
Xplore regularly sails through the waters of the Beagle Channel, where the Andes plunges into the sea. The Beagle Channel is located in the south of Tierra del Fuego, and overlooks the islands that extend all the way to Cape Horn. In the summer the weather can be unpredictable: from sunny and warm to cool and cloudy.
